8 Weeks Old Already!

6 Weeks Old & The Poor Little Man Is Sick!

I still can't get over the fact how quickly the weeks are passing by & how big Owen is growing. I am officially now able to drive a car, vacuum & pick up anything heavier than my baby - yeah right, as if I could live a normal life for 6 weeks after a caesarian without doing any of that!!
Unfortunately poor little Owen has a cold. He has a very snotty nose, and the mucus is obviously running down the back of his throat when he is lying down, as he has trouble breathing. We have been putting drops from the chemist up his nose to clear it, and have him sleeping elevated to help with it. Poor little thing still manages to smile at us even though his is miserable!

One Month Old Today!!!

Owen is one month old already - it has just flown by! And he is such an adorable little baby. He is no trouble at all & happily sleeps & eats, and only cries when he is hungry or needs a nappy changed. And he smiles & laughs at us all the time - just beautiful!!!
He seems to be growing up before our eyes! Every day he looks bigger, and we notice the changes in him. He follows us around the room with his eyes, and if he hears a voice he will look towards it.
Breastfeeding is going well, and he is still feeding every 3 hours. Getting up during the night is still a killer - I am being naughty & bringing him into bed to feed a bit too often of late, but I just can't drag myself out of the warm bed!
And I had forgotten how beautiful the smell of a new baby is. And when he nuzzles his warm soft head into the crook of my neck, there is nothing better in the world!!!
